**Almost three quarters of UK businesses have been exposed to supply chain risk in the last 12 months**

 

Exposure to risk typically results from a lack of visibility, and a lack of planning for certain scenarios. According to the findings from this study, the level of planning varies for certain types of risk. However UK businesses remain largely unprepared for a lot of those risks, while having a high dependency on their suppliers.  

**85% say**  
procurement and supplier management is less digitally mature than other departments, such as marketing, human resources or accounting.

**92%**  
of organisations are highly dependent on suppliers, but face challenges assessing compliance.
