Circular economy: The strategic role of Procurement

How to reduce environmental impacts by limiting the use of natural resources and the production of waste? The circular economy is a promising alternative that can meet these challenges through 5 R: Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle Europe (with the new CSRD), the USA (with the EPA), the United Nations (with the circularity
plaform)... support circular economy initiatives. We will see that the role of Procurement is crucial in each stage of the circular economy:

• How to promote eco-design in collaboration with suppliers?
• How to integrate product life cycle analyses?
• How to develop new collection, sorting and recycling channels
• How to benefit in advance from suppliers' circular innovations?
