The Governing Institute 2019 Procurement Survey
The Governing Institute has released, for the second time, its survey of Procurement policies, trends and overall practices at the State level. This year, 29 States participated in this in depth study and there are several insightful take-aways that everyone in public procurement can learn from.
This report analyzes the survey’s extensive findings to identify key purchasing trends, such as:
- The growing use of data analytics to drive efficiency and capture value
- Broad movement toward more responsive contracting solutions
- The forging of closer relationships with vendors
It also presents real-world examples of how leading States are putting these ideas into practice in order to truly modernize and achieve greater value from their procurement efforts.
