In a prospective approach, Dr. Natacha Tréhan presents the challenges that companies will have to take up in an unprecedented economic paradigm shift. She shows how Procurement will support the transformation of the company's Business Model thanks to digitization.

First, the digitization of the Procurement process will enable Procurement to better meet the expectations of CEOs in terms of « Financial Performance » and « Risk Management ». The choice between a Procurement Suite and a microservices (API) connected Hub is questioned. An appropriate digitization of the Procurement process will, above all, enable the function to cross a milestone in terms of legitimacy and to be more involved in « Value Creation » missions.

Second, Procurement will use the power of digitization, at the heart of these « Value Creation » missions, to be vector of innovations and developer of new businesses.

Third, Natacha Tréhan proposes to rethink both the skills of the buyers and the Procurement organization in order to succeed in this digital transformation.
